Some friends are coming over and you don’t know what to prepare? Tired of the same old dishes and you want to try something else? Why not get the free Recipe4win application, which is available for Windows and Mac OS X, and check out the thousands of recipes it has to offer. Surely you will find something to suit your tastes.

To get started with the functionality Recipe4win has to offer, you will first have to get a 322KB installation file off the web and onto your computer. At such a lightweight download size, it will only take a moment for it to complete, even on a less than spectacular internet connection. Just run the installation file, follow the instructions presented by the setup wizard, and you will have Recipe4win up and running in no time at all.

The interface features four main buttons at the top. The Geography button displays a world map and a European map so that you can select a dish from a specific part of the world. The Glossary button displays a list of all available recipes. The Title page button takes you back to the title page, and the Back button takes you back one step.

There are four other tabs underneath that do the same things, just that they are named differently. World Cuisine is the equivalent of Georgraphy, Glossary keeps its name, and Home is the equivalent of Title page.

Recipe4win is freeware. You won’t have to put up with spending your money to use the application, but you will have to put up with ads. Various ads are displayed within the application’s interface.

All the recipes the Recipe4win application displays are pulled from the recipe4all.com website. The thing is that you don’t necessarily have to install Recipe4win to view all these recipes; you can just fire up your browser and go to recipe4all.com instead.

Recipe4win is free, quite easy to use, and provides access to a wide variety of recipes from all over the world.

Pros

Takes little time to download and install the application. A simple and easy to use interface. Access to thousands of recipes from all over the world. Recipe4win is free.

Cons

There are ads displayed in the application’s interface. You don’t really have to install the application, as you can get the same sort of functionality by simply visiting the recipe4all.com website.
